Giovanni Pallavar - 16 1/2"

1973

Verona

Giovanni Pallavar learned the craft of violin making from the great master from Milan, Andrea Bisiach.

This example, made when Pallavar was sixty six years of age, shows him at the peak of his powers.

Beautifully flamed maple with a transparent orange varnish over a light golden ground highlights

the classic design of this player friendly model.

Played professionally since new, this viola is open, quick responding, with a rich and projecting tone.
